Gearing up for Kayak Fishing

Some of the essential accessories are unique to kayak fishing, although many of the items are used by most anglers the positioning and in particular the sizing of the accessories is vitally important. Being able to reach and use accessories easily with one hand is the key as there’s no point in mounting a gaff or stowing a net where there may be room for it, but when you need to use the items in a hurry you can’t get it free because the thing has jammed between the kitchen sink and Derek the Chef’s onboard BBQ or just out of reach causing you to get off balance and everything goes pear shaped.

Whether its drift fishing or fishing around rocks, offshore fishing, or using your kayak to set a long line, kayak fishing is delivering the results. The fish don’t hear you coming. There is a thrill catching a fish from a kayak close to the action, it is cost effective and an easy vessel to get onto the water.
